Carl Frampton vs Scott Quigg
27th February in Manchester.

2 of the top 4 fighters at their weight. For IBF and WBA (sort of, super champion Rigondeaux is in recess) titles.

Had 3 press conferences this week, gradually warming up. Plenty of needle between the 2 camps if not the actual fighters.

Plenty of England vs Ireland matches on the undercard. Should be a good fight and top night.

Got hotel reserved. Tickets on sale Friday, fingers crossed.

Who wins? Hard to look past Frampton in terms of record and pedigree, but Quigg has really come on in last 18 months.

Re: Carl Frampton vs Scott Quigg
frampton looked a bit chinny in his last fight so i think scott has a chance if he stays patient

Think Quigg will win it late in the fight.

Looking forward to this weekend; Crolla Perez followed by Abraham Murray

Re: Carl Frampton vs Scott Quigg
Yea some great fights this weekend here, in Germany, and of course Canelo-Cotto in the States.

Really hope Martin Murray can do it, 4th time lucky. Got screwed against Martinez and maybe should've got decision over Sturn as well.

Hopefully Quigg. There's too much being made of their last fights and Frampton goes in as favourite, but I fancy Quigg for the win.

This is getting proper tasty already , the press conferences ave been pretty funny , Mcguigan is geiving it to Eddie hearn calling him all sorts.

I actaully like Eddie , ok hes dished out some pretty average pay per views that maybe should not have been , Frank warren is the best promoter the UK has ever had , but EH has plenty of time to take that from him .

Its a shame that in my eyes Frampton will beat Quigg , as id like Scott to win , i think people are getting carried by SQ 2nd rnd knock out against kiko #, he looked pretty average until he puled that unch put the bag , but he has got power in his locker , if he catches frampton right on the night , it could be an early finish .

Re: Carl Frampton vs Scott Quigg
Going by Frampton's last fight Quigg wins this by KO. It took 2 rounds for Quigg to destroy Kiko Martínez and Frampton 12 rounds.

Re: Carl Frampton vs Scott Quigg
Frampton stopped Kiko in 9 in their first fight. 12 round decision in the rematch.

Argument is there to suggest he was done by time he got to Quigg.

Re: Carl Frampton vs Scott Quigg
interesting comments about Frampton getting knocked out in sparring session.
mind games or the truth??

Re: Carl Frampton vs Scott Quigg
You're right, there isn't.

But they were 2 hard fights with Frampton.

I did say the argument is out there, not that it was necessarily mine.

Re: Carl Frampton vs Scott Quigg
Sparring stories are always brought out in any top fight these days.

Remember all those saying (I think it was) Berto had KO'ed Mayweather in sparring for Pacquiao and that meant Pacman was a sure winner?

And lo and behold, Mayweather then fought and deal with Berto next with ease.

Might be true, might not.

Sorry it was rumoured to be Zab Judah, but point about Pacquiao still stands.
